Today, as General Sales Manager at Ferrari Bahrain, he focuses on creating a balance between team growth, client satisfaction, and maintaining the brand’s reputation for excellence.

His journey has taken him through some of the world’s most recognisable marques, including Porsche and Lamborghini, where he earned certifications that reflect his technical expertise and product knowledge. Along the way, he’s worked with luxury, performance, and volume brands, giving him a broad perspective on the market and a clear understanding of what customers look for.

At Ferrari Bahrain, Fawaz’s role is as much about people as it is about cars. From guiding his team to ensuring every client interaction feels seamless, his approach is rooted in both knowledge and connection. Passionate about cars and driven by people, he continues to bring together the two things that define his career.

In this conversation with Bahrain Confidential, Fawaz shares his journey, insights into the world of Ferrari, and what it’s like to work with some of the most iconic names in the automotive world.

What first got you into cars, and how did that turn into a 16-year career?

I’ve been passionate about cars for as long as I can remember, especially sports cars and the thrill of speed. That childhood fascination naturally evolved into a career. I started off with a multibrand car dealer, which gave me exposure to different makes and customer profiles.

From there, I joined Hyundai, where I learned the importance of volume, structure, and customer experience. My journey then took a more performance-focused turn when I joined Porsche, a brand that really deepened my appreciation for engineering and precision.

That experience paved the way to Lamborghini, where I spent nearly six years immersed in the world of Italian design and high-performance luxury. Today, I’m proud to be part of Ferrari. A brand that truly represents the pinnacle of automotive passion.

It’s been a 16-year journey of learning, growing, and staying connected to what I love most: cars that stir the soul.

What’s something most people don’t realise about working with a brand like Ferrari? What’s it like on the inside?

Most people see the glamour – the beautiful cars, the exclusivity, the lifestyle – and while that’s definitely a part of it, what many don’t realise is how much discipline, precision, and responsibility come with representing a brand like Ferrari.

It’s not just about selling a car; it’s about upholding a legacy. Every detail matters, from how we present the showroom to how we greet a client, down to how we handle follow-ups. Ferrari customers expect excellence, and rightly so. Internally, there’s a deep culture of performance, but also humility because you’re constantly reminded you’re representing something much bigger than yourself.

What changes have you observed in customer behaviour or preferences in Bahrain’s luxury automotive scene over the years?

Over the years, I’ve noticed a clear shift in what customers value in the luxury automotive space. While performance and prestige remain important, today’s buyers are more experience-driven and tech-savvy than ever.

There’s a growing appreciation for exclusivity – limited editions, bespoke options, and collector-worthy models are in higher demand. Many clients aren’t just looking for a car; they’re looking for a story, an identity, and something that truly reflects their personal lifestyle.

We’re also seeing a younger generation enter the luxury market – well-informed, brand-conscious, and keen on engaging with the brand beyond the showroom. Experiences like private track days, curated events, and lifestyle collaborations have become just as important as the vehicle itself.

In Bahrain, where relationships and community play a big role, personalisation and connection matter more than ever. Today’s luxury car buyer expects not just world-class performance, but also a brand that understands their lifestyle and makes them feel part of something special.

Between Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari, what, in your opinion, stands out most about each brand’s identity and the people who buy them?

Each of these brands has a distinct identity, and it naturally attracts very different types of clients.

Porsche is all about precision, engineering, and everyday performance. Many Porsche owners appreciate understated excellence. They’re loyal, analytical, and value consistency. It’s a brand that delivers both daily usability and serious driving capability, which makes it incredibly appealing to those who want the best of both worlds.

Lamborghini is bold, loud, and unapologetically expressive. It’s a brand that turns heads, and that’s exactly what many of its buyers love. The typical Lamborghini client wants presence, emotion, and a design that breaks away from the norm. It’s not just about performance, it’s about making a statement.

Ferrari, on the other hand, carries a different kind of weight. It’s not just a car, it’s a legacy. Ferrari buyers are often deeply passionate, emotionally invested, and driven by a sense of connection to the brand’s racing history and exclusivity.

There’s also a level of respect that comes with Ferrari ownership; it’s about heritage, craftsmanship, and a lifestyle that’s as refined as it is performance-focused.

In the end, all three brands deliver incredible cars, but they speak to very different personalities, and that’s what makes working with them so fascinating.

What’s your dream car? Is it already parked in your garage, or is it one you’re still chasing?

That’s a tough one. I’ve been fortunate to work closely with some of the most iconic cars in the world. So in many ways, I’ve already lived the dream through the brands I’ve represented.

But if I had to name a few that truly stir something deep, the LaFerrari comes to mind immediately. It’s the pinnacle of performance and design, a hybrid hypercar that still feels emotional and unmistakably Ferrari. Then there’s the Aventador SVJ, an absolute beast with unmatched presence and raw power. Finally, and of course, the 911 GT3 RS, a purist’s machine that proves precision and passion can go hand in hand.

Not all of them are in my garage… yet. But maybe that’s the beauty of it. Some dream cars are meant to stay just out of reach, reminding you why you fell in love with this world in the first place, and keeping that fire alive.

Finally, when you’re not behind the wheel or at the showroom, where in Bahrain do you go to unwind?

For me, unwinding is all about good company and great experiences. I enjoy spending time with close friends, whether it’s catching up over dinner at one of Bahrain’s top restaurants, attending private events, or simply sharing a good laugh in the right setting.

One of the highlights for me is our Ferrari morning drives with the owners. There’s nothing like hitting the open roads early in the day, surrounded by passionate individuals who share the same love for driving. It’s the perfect mix of adrenaline, scenery, and connection.

Bahrain has a lot to offer when it comes to lifestyle, from fine dining to well-curated gatherings, and those moments away from the showroom are what help keep me balanced, recharged, and inspired.
