Ferrari Amalfi: Sporty Meets Sophisticated in This Latest Creation by the Italian Brand

Bahraincover

Ferrari has lifted the curtain on its latest creation: the Amalfi, a front-mid-engine V8 2+ coupé that replaces the Roma in the Prancing Horse line-up. Blending high performance with daily usability, the Amalfi is made for those who want thrilling drives without compromising comfort or style.

The design is clean and sculptural, with a wide air intake and long bonnet up front. At the back, an active spoiler adds aerodynamic efficiency, while forged wheels and carbon fibre elements finish the look with finesse.

At its heart lies a 640 CV twin-turbo V8 derived from Ferrari’s award-winning F154 engine family. Mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, the car rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The power-to-weight ratio is an impressive 2.29 kg per CV. Performance tweaks include recalibrated turbos, lightweight components, and a new control unit for more precise engine management. A redesigned exhaust system also ensures the signature Ferrari growl stays intact.

Design and Aerodynamics

The Amalfi’s dynamics have been taken up a notch with the introduction of brake-by-wire and a more responsive electric steering system. The ABS Evo system, paired with Ferrari’s Side Slip Control 6.1, ensures grip estimation is faster and more accurate, even on tricky surfaces. An active rear spoiler shifts based on driving conditions to enhance stability and downforce when needed most.

Aerodynamic performance has been refined using vortex generators, underbody fairings, and an integrated mobile wing. The wing toggles between three configurations: Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce, depending on speed and driving style. This setup produces 110 kg of extra downforce at 250 km/h with only a minor drag increase.

Styling-wise, the Amalfi takes cues from the Roma but pushes the silhouette further. The minimalist, wedge-shaped body features recessed headlamps and a front end without a traditional grille, creating a more fluid appearance. The Verde Costiera launch colour, a brilliant teal inspired by the Amalfi Coast, complements the car’s clean lines and dynamic presence.

Inside, the dual-cockpit layout creates a wraparound feel for both driver and passenger. The monolithic dashboard merges the instrument cluster and air vents, while a suspended centre tunnel in anodised aluminium houses the essentials. Optional comfort seats with massage functions and customisable colour palettes ensure the cabin feels as tailored as it looks.

Technology and Practicality

Inside, Ferrari has reintroduced physical controls with a new steering wheel and the return of the iconic aluminium start button. A 2+ seating layout and increased cargo space make the car a practical companion for daily drives or weekend escapes.

Infotainment is handled by a fully connected system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. There is a central 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and an 8.8-inch passenger display for shared thrills. A Burmester audio system with 14 speakers and 1,200 watts is available for those who prefer their journeys soundtracked in high fidelity.

Advanced driver assistance systems come standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, and Traffic Sign Recognition. Optional extras like a front-lifter system allow the car to clear urban speed bumps with ease.

Riding on 20-inch wheels, the Amalfi is fitted with either Bridgestone Potenza Sport or Pirelli P ZERO tyres, chosen for their balance between performance and comfort. Tyre sizes are 245/35 R20 at the front and 285/35 R20 at the rear.

All this comes with Ferrari’s seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme, covering scheduled servicing, original spares, and checks by Ferrari-trained technicians worldwide.

The Amalfi is not just a successor to the Roma. With elegance, everyday usability, and serious performance in its DNA, it sets a new standard for the modern Ferrari GT.
