The Maldives are known around the world for picturesque landscapes, but the islands are also rich in a warm and exotic culture. Situated in the Indian Ocean, the Republic of the Maldives is a sovereign archipelagic nation. It is that garland of 26 glittering atolls home to almost 1,200 islands.

The Maldives offer the inquisitive traveler much to see and do, and feature many items on their Bucket List: from white sandy beaches, and warm waters of the Indian Oceans; to the all-year-long great weather and the delicious tropical cuisine. With five weekly flights to the capital of the Maldives, Male, Gulf Air provides easy access to “The Land of Sun, Sea, and Sand.”

Gulf Air welcomed the airline’s third Airbus A320neo, which on October 26 will begin operating to Gulf Air’s newest destination – Male in the Maldives. This delivery is part of a major fleet development project, which will see the airline receive a total of 12 Airbus A320neo aircraft by the end of 2023.
