Elevating Experiences: Interview with Gallery 21 GM Chafik Zrara

Gallery 21 is home to some of Block 338’s most sophisticated social hubs with a variety of outlets. At the same time, the property is also known for its beautiful weddings, exciting promotions and one-of-a-kind events! Just recently, we had the chance to talk to Mr. Chafik Zara about what makes Gallery 21 stand out from the rest.

Gallery 21 has always been a popular venue for weddings and grand occasions, can you shed light on your vision for this property?

My vision is to create a premier and world-class hospitality company with globally recognized brands, and extend our success locally and in regionally by opening new branches. Gallery 21 has a lot of strengths and my goal is to elevate that.

What are the major challenges you have faced in order to position Gallery 21 to where it is today?

The market is very competitive. However, I always try to bring in unique, classy and one-of-a-kind offerings to attract guests. Being innovative and finding opportunities to lead the market also helped in positioning Gallery 21 to its current status.

What have been the highlights/successes of this year?

The past year has really been successful for us not only for major events but also for corporate and private meetings. Recently, we hosted an art exhibition competition and as well as fun activities like pop-up markets, fashion shows, parties and brand/product launches. Gallery 21 has also been a leading choice for ‘destination occasions’, including weddings and engagements.

What is your action plan for the upcoming months?

We are launching ‘Supermodel Globe’, a model competition. We are also exploring our menu with signature dishes from our new chef. Furthermore, we will soon be totally revamping Gallery Café into a new concept and bringing more exciting events in our Art Gallery. The last few months of this year will be fantastic so stay tuned!

Is there a particular saying or motto that guides you?

“Everything is possible.”

Which part of Bahrain is your favourite and why?

Adliya because this is the place where I spend most of my time; for work and my personal life.
