Echoes of Harmony

At The Art Hotel & Resort Bahrain, two voices—Zaher El Kassir, the Resident Manager and Amal Allawi, the Marketing Manager—share their heartfelt connection to Bahrain. For Amal, a proud Bahraini, the island is far more than the backdrop of her childhood and the place she now raises her family. “It’s the soul of the people, the strength of the community, and the unshakable sense of belonging that Bahrain offers,” she says with emotion.

Zaher, an expatriate who has called Bahrain home for the past 15 years, nods in agreement. “Belonging,” he says, his voice warm with gratitude. “That’s what comes to mind when I think of Bahrain. Whether you’re here for a short visit or a lifetime, Bahrain embraces you with unmatched warmth and hospitality.”

This shared love for Bahrain reflects the Kingdom’s unique spirit—a place where people of different cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds come together. It’s a story of unity and pride in diversity, where every individual feels an unspoken connection to the island’s beating heart.

Looking ahead, Amal’s optimism shines through. “Bahrain will continue to lead in innovation and technology, but never at the expense of its heritage. That balance is what makes our future so bright.” Zaher agrees wholeheartedly. “Bahrain’s vision is extraordinary—modernity and tradition in perfect harmony. That’s what captivates the world and keeps us all inspired.”

When they speak of cultural heritage, Amal connects to gatherings. “The majlis is so special—it’s where generations come together, sharing stories and forging bonds. It’s the soul of Bahraini society.” Zaher reflects on the rich tapestry of forts, mosques, and traditions, saying, “These aren’t just remnants of the past; they’re threads of identity that future generations must cherish.”

Their fondest memories are rooted in National Day celebrations. Amal recalls childhood parades filled with vibrant colours and music, while Zaher treasures how the day unites locals and expatriates in joy and pride.

As for their favourite spots, Amal finds inspiration at the historic Bahrain Fort, while Zaher finds solace in the serene beauty of the Amwaj Islands, a place that mirrors the peaceful yet dynamic essence of Bahrain.

“If the world could know one thing about Bahrain,” Amal says with a smile, “it’s the generosity of its people and the depth of its traditions.” Zaher adds thoughtfully, “It’s how Bahrain makes you feel—welcomed, accepted, and truly at home.”
