People aged 60 below are most number of people infected in Bahrain, according to the Ministry of Health’s contact tracing data.

The coronavirus pandemic has infected 87% of people below the age of 60 years, contrary to global reports that the disease affects those above the age 60 the most. Meanwhile 13% of those infected by the virus belong to the age group of 60 above. Only 6% of people aged 17 below have been affected by the virus.

Taking a deeper look at the statistics among the positive cases, more women have been affected by the virus than men. Men account for the 62% in positive cases, while women with a lesser percentage of 38%.
