Bahraincover

Ever wondered what your financial profile looks like on paper? Whether you’re applying for a loan, a credit card, or keeping a check on your financial health, the credit report comes in handy.

With improved digital services and increased transparency, checking your credit status is now quicker, more convenient, and more essential than ever for making informed financial decisions.

Even better, you can get your report online!

Know What You’re Looking For

Your credit report is a summary of your financial activity over the last five years, including:

  • Loans and credit cards
  • Repayment history
  • Outstanding debts
  • Payment defaults

You’re entitled to one free personal report every year through Bahrain’s Credit Reference Bureau (operated by Benefit).

Get Your eKey Ready

To access your credit report, you’ll need a Standard or Advanced eKey account. This is your secure login for government services in Bahrain.

If you don’t already have one, download the eKey 2.0 app and register using your CPR number. You can also register through the national portal.

Visit the Bahrain eGovernment Portal

Once your eKey is set up, go to bahrain.bh and log in.

  • On the homepage, scroll down to eService Categories and click on Businesses, Investment and Taxes.
  • Choose Personal Finance
  • Then click Generate Benefit Credit ReportOr search Generate Credit Report directly in the search bar.

Request Your Credit Report

When the new page opens:

  • Click on Use eService
  • You can either log in using your eKey 2.0 or your CPR and Password.
  • Submit your request

In most cases, your report will be available immediately or within two working days at most.

This is important: You can access your credit report once annually for free. If you want to generate another report within the 12 months, it’ll cost you BHD 4.000 or BHD 5.500 (if you’re requesting it through a bank or other financial institution).

Review What’s Inside

Download the report and take a look. You’ll see:

  • Your financial information and full credit history
  • Who checked your credit
  • Missed payments (if any)
  • Current loans, balances, and credit applications

Pro Tip: Download or print a copy for your records; you may need it when applying for visas, mortgages, or financing.

Step 6: Seeing a Mistake? Fix It Fast

If you spotted an error, you’ve got 14 days from the date of the report to file a dispute. You can do this by calling the bureau, sending an email, or visiting the office in person.

It takes up to five working days for the bureau to resolve your dispute. If they’ve made changes to your credit report, you can download a new one for free.

There You Have It!

In just a few clicks, you’ll have your entire credit history at your fingertips. The process is seamless and helpful, making you aware of your finances in just a few clicks.
