Hawar Resort by Mantis is running a full programme of Christmas and New Year events from early December through to New Year’s Day. The MICHELIN Guide-recognised island resort has lined up family activities, festive dining, and beachside celebrations across the holiday period.

If you’ve got young ones in tow, 24 December brings a pyjama party running from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Children can write letters to Santa, get stuck into arts and crafts, and settle in for seasonal storytelling throughout the afternoon.
Once the sun sets, the Christmas Eve Dinner shifts to the poolside. Expect live barbecue stations, festive dishes, desserts, and entertainment under the stars.
Santa drops by on 25 December between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, making an appearance at the Bear Grylls Adventure Zone for a meet-and-greet with younger guests.
Later in the afternoon, there’s a Christmas brunch on the beach. It’s a relaxed setup with festive dishes and sea views, giving families a chance to wind down after the morning excitement.
The 26th brings the Hawar Festive Fair from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. You’ll find oyster shucking, magic shows, Santa’s workshop, and a winter market with seasonal bits and pieces.
The main NYE celebration is a tropical-themed gala dinner on the beach starting at 9:00 PM on 31 December. The buffet and live entertainment run through the midnight countdown into the early hours.
On 1 January, C-Salt restaurant is hosting a sundowners brunch with ocean views and live cooking stations. The timing allows guests to watch the transition from daylight to evening.
Beyond the festive celebrations, Hawar Resort offers desert mountain biking, camel rides, falconry, kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkelling.
The Spa is running two seasonal offers: a 90-minute treatment for the price of 60 minutes throughout December, and a detox massage package in January.
