Check out this travelling library in Bahrain!

The Al Khalifiyah Travelling Library is an initiative that moves one of the oldest public libraries in Bahrain (and the first public library in Muharraq) from its location in the heart of the old city to all corners of the Kingdom.

The travelling library aims to spread the culture of reading to a wider segment of society. The library’s locations and timings will be announced through the Ministry of Culture’s social media channels.

The history of the establishment of Al Khalifiyah Library dates back to 1954. In 2017, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities reopened it to the people of Muharraq and visitors after reviving the original building of the library.
