One of the oldest commercial markets in Bahrain, the Manama Souq will be the spotlight of a new tourism initiative by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) this year.
Road to Manama will include workshops to introduce children and teenagers to traditional Bahraini crafts along with a host of public events like traditional Bahraini games, musical performances, and children’s storytelling. A puppet show will also be held during the event in conjunction with Saudi’s National Day.

The event is set to take place for 10 days, from September 22nd to October 1st at the Manama Souq and aims to bring children and adults together to celebrate and promote Bahrain’s heritage. As part of the event, BTEA will organize a walking tour around the Souq, taking participants through the ancient cultural heritage of the iconic spot.
