The December events calendar is packed!

It’s when Bahrain truly comes alive. As temperatures finally dip to perfection and the winter breeze rolls in, the island transforms into a spectacular celebration of heritage, culture, and festivity. The streets are draped in flowing reds and whites, the national colours proudly shine from every lamppost and building.

It’s National Day fervour at its finest, but it’s also a lot more than that. The energy of an entire nation marking the end of another year with joy, pride, and that unmistakable warmth of Bahrain – that’s always worth experiencing.

As always, Bahrain’s Ministry of Tourism has created a lineup of exciting events and activities to get everyone into the zone.

From the historic alleyways of Muharraq to the glittering skyline of Bahrain Bay, the kingdom pulses with events that honour tradition whilst embracing the new. Whether you’re drawn to soulful jazz performances, the thunder of hooves on the racetrack, or the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, there’s something magical happening around every corner.

Here’s your guide to the biggest events lighting up Bahrain at the year’s end.


Experience the Bahrain International Trophy

Before December even arrives, racing enthusiasts have a date with destiny. The seventh edition of the Bahrain International Trophy promises thrilling equestrian action with a Group 2 race covering 2,000 metres and a whopping USD 1,000,000 prize purse. Beyond the main event, expect seven additional races, refined hospitality experiences, and a Best Dressed competition that’s become a highlight in its own right.

Muharraq Nights 2025

Kick off December by wandering through the UNESCO-listed Pearling Path, where Muharraq Nights transforms the historic district into an enchanting cultural playground. Musical performances echo through ancient alleyways, art exhibitions pop up in restored buildings, and the scent of traditional Bahraini flavours fills the air. Children’s activities and guided tours ensure the whole family can dive into the island’s rich heritage.

9th Bahrain Jazz Fest at Royal Golf Club

Jazz lovers, this one’s for you. The 9th BNP Paribas Bahrain Jazz Fest brings Grammy Award-winner Frank Gambale All Stars to the Royal Golf Club, alongside international talent and beloved local performers including Abdulla Haji, Manama Singers, and students from local schools. It’s a sophisticated evening under the stars that showcases both global excellence and homegrown talent.

Bahrain Coffee Festival

Coffee isn’t just a drink in Bahrain; it’s a culture. The Bahrain Coffee Festival celebrates the kingdom’s dynamic coffee scene with live demonstrations, tastings, and workshops that’ll turn casual sippers into certified enthusiasts. Competitive events like the Latte Art Throwdown and Cup Taster Challenge add excitement, whilst B2B and B2C platforms connect everyone from home brewers to café owners.

Celebrate Bahrain Fireworks & Drone Show 2025

When National Day arrives on 16 December, the skies across Bahrain erupt in brilliant displays of light. Various locations host magnificent fireworks shows that paint the night red and white. Then, as the year draws to a close, Bahrain Bay becomes the epicentre of celebration on New Year’s Eve with a stunning combined fireworks and drone display that’ll leave you breathless.

The Bahraini Night Concert

Authentic Bahraini musical artistry takes centre stage at the Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre. The Bahraini Night Concert showcases original themed music performed by talented local artists, celebrating the sounds and stories that make this island unique. The full lineup is still under wraps, but expect an evening that honours Bahrain’s creative spirit.

Hawa Al Manama 2025

Step through Bab Al Bahrain to revisit the past whilst celebrating the present. Hawa Al Manama will be a captivating journey through Manama’s historical, economic, and social heritage. The old market streets of Manama Souq transform into stages where performances celebrate Bahrain’s identity and diversity across different eras. It’s heritage brought to life in the most vibrant way possible.
