The summer is about to kick off with something different, something bouncy, something that’s good for everyone, irrespective of age and fitness levels. Mark the dates 28 May to 6 June in your calendar. The Big Bounce Arabia is setting up at Exhibition World Bahrain, and it’s bringing what is officially the largest touring inflatable event in the world.
This isn’t your average bouncy castle setup. Think inflatables on a scale most of us have never seen before, spread across the grounds of Exhibition World Bahrain for ten days only.
The Big Bounce Arabia is built around four custom-made inflatable attractions, each designed for a different kind of experience. You get access to all of them with a single ticket, worth BHD 5, across a 2.5-hour session.
The headline attraction lives up to its name. Inside, you’ll find inflatable basketball hoops, obstacle courses, ball pits, slides, oversized inflatable sofas, palm trees, and giant animal characters dotted throughout. It’s part play zone, part photo opportunity, part chill-out space. You can go full throttle or settle into one of the inflatable boats and watch everyone else bounce by.
Stretching over 300 metres in length, The Giant is one of the longest inflatable obstacle courses ever built. It’s high energy, properly tiring, and a lot of fun to attempt with friends or family.
A space-themed inflatable adventure complete with friendly aliens, spaceships, oversized planets, and ball pits designed to look like moon craters. It’s particularly good for younger kids, though no one’s going to stop adults from joining in.
Sport Slam brings inflatable versions of classic sports challenges. OctoBlast is the deep-sea themed attraction, mixing bouncing with foam and ocean characters for something closer to a soft party than a traditional bouncy castle.
Tickets start from BHD 5 for general admission, and each session runs for 2.5 hours. Here’s the part to note: your ticket includes two time slots. The first is your overall entry time, and the second is your 45-minute window inside The World’s Biggest Bounce House itself.
Access to The Giant, Sport Slam, and airSPACE is unlimited during your session. The bounce house slot is timed to stop overcrowding and give everyone room to actually enjoy themselves. The advice from the organisers is to queue up early for your bounce house slot to make the most of those 45 minutes.
The short answer: everyone. The Big Bounce Arabia is open to all ages, from toddlers to grandparents. Ticket types are split by age category for convenience, but the experience itself caters to whoever turns up.
Fitness levels don’t matter either. You can bounce non-stop for the full session or spend most of it lounging on the inflatable furniture. Both are valid uses of a ticket.
Bahrain’s summer events calendar can get repetitive, and most of what’s billed as a family day out tends to involve the same handful of venues. The Big Bounce Arabia is a genuine one-off, both because of its scale and because it’s only here for ten days before moving on.
If you’re looking for things to do in Bahrain this summer that don’t involve another mall trip or another buffet, this one’s worth blocking out an afternoon for. Tickets are released by session, and the popular weekend slots tend to go first.
