Puccini’s ​Turandot
Where: Dubai Opera

From 5th to 7th September, Dubai Opera is teaming up with Shanghai Opera House to put on Puccini’s final creation, Turandot. This opera by the celebrated Italian composer is considered one of the most famous tenor aria in the opera repertoire. See the critically-acclaimed masterpiece performed live under the direction of Roberto Ando and starring over 200 talented artists.

‘An Inspector Calls’
Where: The Junction

J. B. Priestley’s 1945 play ‘An Inspector Calls’  opens with Inspector Goole approaching the well-to-do Birling family about the death of a working-class woman. Bringing an abrupt halt to their celebrations at home, Goole shares startling revelations that challenge not only the family’s foundations but the audience’s principals. The adaptation is directed by multi-award winner Patrick Sandford and stars the cast of London’s West End, RSC and National Theatre professionals. Showing from 10-13 September.

Early Spring
Where: Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera and Shanghai Opera House are partnering up this 10th to 11th September to host a contemporary dance drama. Early Spring is adapted from Rou Shi’s novel February, a story that grapples with the contradictions of idealism and reality. Protagonist Xiao Jianqiu is serving as the main line, where his indifference to the vulnerable in rural China reflects a general attitude during the 1920s.

Moving On Friday: Morissette Amon and Jason Dy Live
Where: Al Nasr Leisureland

Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon arrives in Dubai alongside Jason Dy, Philippine’s Prince of Soul, for a show jam-packed with top hits at Al Nasr Leisureland on 20th September. Morissette Amon is a Filipina singer who rose to prominence as the 14-year-old runner up of TV5’s Star Factor, a reality talent show. Like Amon, the spotlight found co-star Jason Dy when he won season two of The Voice of the Philippines.

Kids’ Choice Awards Abu Dhabi 2019

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is the biggest, slimiest party of the year for kids and the most popular awards ceremony show produced by Nickelodeon, dedicated to kids around the world. The show traditionally features celebrities, musical acts and for the first time ever, it lands in Abu Dhabi on 20th September to celebrate Arab and International artists, across multiple categories, celebrating all kids’ favorites.

Harry Potter in Concert

The Supremes at Theatre

Dance and sing along to hits by one of Motown’s premier all-girl singing groups, The Supremes from 11th to 13th September. Former members Scherrie Payne and Susaye Greene are performing live aboard the QE2 with American singer Joyce Vincent. Debuting in the 1960s, The Supremes were, and still are, one of Motown Records’ most commercially successful acts.
