Bahraini Jiu Jitsu athletes had an incredible achievement at the Fujeirah International Pro 2022! They won six medals – 1 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze.
The Fujeirah International Pro is part of the UAEJJF World Ranking and Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Qualifying Series. The tournament was held on July 2nd and 3rd at the Zayed Sports Complex.
The team representing Bahrain was coached by renowned Bahraini martial artist, Ali Monfaradi. Taking to his Instagram, Monfaradi posted about the team’s victory saying, “Exceptional performances by our amazing athletes. They fought hard and displayed high-level Jiu Jitsu.”
The medals won by the Bahraini team are as follows:
Abdulla Al Shaikh – Gold
Dante Cano – Silver
Thomas Keilly – Silver
Yousif Salman – Silver
Mahmood Alnajjar – Bronze
Tariq Amin – Bronze
Nearly 800 athletes from 50 countries were reportedly a part of this championship.
