Bahraini Farmers’ Market is now back in Budaiya!

Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, unveiled a number of initiatives aimed at preserving the green space and developing the agricultural sector in Bahrain, noting that the initiatives focus on supporting the agricultural community, as well as on encouraging the local farmers to be more competitive.

The minister officially opened the 8th edition of the Bahraini Farmers’ Market at the Budaiya Botanical Garden and also launched many initiatives aimed at supporting Bahraini farmers and encouraging local products, citing the establishment of the Budaiya weekly farmers’ market, held between December and April, in addition to the permanent farmers’ market in Hoorat A’ali.

NIAD Secretary-General, Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, said that the farmers’ market in Budaiya and has become a major national event, noting that farmers’ markets support the agricultural sector in the kingdom.

Open to visitors from 8 am to 2 pm every Saturday, the market includes local Bahraini vegetable products, in addition to restaurants and accompanying events.
