There’s no better way to start the day in Bahrain than with a proper ryouq, a traditional Bahraini breakfast that’s equal parts comforting and generous. Think warm balaleet (sweet vermicelli topped with a thin omelette), soft mahyawa, eggs with tomato, spiced beans, crispy samboosa, liver, potato eggs, with a side of piping hot karak.
