Bahrain records over 22,000 face mask violations since April

“A total of 22462 face-mask violations in public places were registered since the decision was implemented,” stated Public Security Assistant Chief for Operations and Training Affairs.

Brigadier-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad explained that according to the statistics, the Northern Governorate Police Directorate recorded 5214 violations, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate recorded 4571 violations. Meanwhile, the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate recorded 6547 violations, and 3215 violations were registered by the Southern Governorate Police. 

The decision of obligating all citizens and residents to wear face masks in public places was effective since April 9th 2020 to limit the spread of COVID-19.
