Bahrain records 974 new cases and 5 deaths

Out of 17,646 COVID-19 tests carried out on 5 April 2021, 974 new cases have been detected among 293 expatriate workers, 643 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 38 are travel-related. There were 798 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 139,205.


There are currently 63 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 151 cases receiving treatment. 9,982 are stable out of a total of 10,045 active.

The ministry also announced five Covid-19 related deaths, raising the total deaths to 541.
