Bahrain records 2,766 new COVID-19 cases and 1,535 recoveries

Out of 19,599 COVID-19 tests carried out on 25 May 2021, 2,766 new cases have been detected among 1,071 expats. 1,679 are contacts of active cases and 16 travel related.

There were 1,535 recoveries, increasing the total recoveries to 198,220.

Eighteen deaths were recorded among seven male citizens aged 96, 52, 67, 78, 60 and 48; four female citizens aged 52, 85, 53 and 67; three male expats aged 34, 34 and 52; four female expats aged 53, 67, 62 and 57.

No information was provided on whether they suffered any pre-existing medical conditions.

There are currently 193 cases in critical condition and 322 receiving treatment. 24,334 are stable out of a total of 24,527 active cases.
