Bahrain records 1,165 new cases from 15,309 tests

Out of 15,309 COVID-19 tests carried out on 3 May 2021, 1165 new cases have been detected among 482 expatriate workers, 659 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 24 travel related. There were 1013 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 168,865.

Four Bahraini men, aged 68, 55, 63 and 69, and two Bahraini women, 68 and 69, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 657. No information was provided if they suffered any preexisting medical conditions.

There are currently 101 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 231 cases receiving treatment. 10,839 are stable out of a total of 10,940 active cases.
