Bahrain records 1,057 new COVID-19 cases from 19,055 tests

Bahrain recorded 1,057 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, alongside 967 recoveries and 7 fatalities.

Out of 19,055 COVID-19 tests carried out on 29 April 2021, 1057 new cases have been detected among 461 expatriate workers, 565 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 31 are travel-related. There were 967 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 164,904.

Four men – three expats, aged 53, 53 and 36 and a Bahraini, aged 60, as well as three women, two Bahrainis, aged 67, 56 and an expat, aged 32, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 639.

There are currently 101 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 190 cases receiving treatment. 10,108 are stable out of a total of 10,209 active cases.
