Bahrain gears up for its 50th National Day celebrations!

Southern Municipality yesterday switched on several illuminated corridors near Bahrain International Stadium, lighting up the celebration of National Day. Illuminated corridors, arranged in distinctive shapes and patterns, were inaugurated by the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. The gates are near December 16 street near Bahrain International Stadium.

The illuminated corridors allow cars to drive through for people to enjoy the view to the fullest. The authorities had also set up a 100 meters long illuminated corridor with 32 gates with eye-catching geometric patterns and shapes.

The festivities featured poetry recitals by Abdulla bin Huweil, the police music band and the Bahrain Ardah Society.

The Southern Governorate has lined up a rich programme to celebrate the national days, running from today until December 18.
