Bahrain detects 1,081 new COVID-19 cases from 14,277 tests

Out of 14,277 COVID-19 tests carried out on 24 April 2021, 1081 new cases have been detected among 432 expatriate workers, 586 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 63 are travel-related.

There were 1,065 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 159,198.

Two men, an expat, 59, and a Bahraini, 52, as well as a Bahraini woman, 63, died yesterday, taking the total number of deaths to 620. No further information was provided on whether they suffered any pre-existing conditions.

There are currently 99 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 196 cases receiving treatment. 10,418 are stable out of a total of 10,517 active cases.
