Avoid Gatherings: Bahrain records 1,619 new coronavirus cases

Out of 13,960 COVID-19 tests carried out yesterday, 1619 new cases have been detected among 549 expatriate workers, 1061 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 9 travel related. There were 1298 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 182,535.

Four Bahrainis, two men, 53 and 79, and two women, 67 and 55, as well as an expat man, 33, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 737. No information was provided if they suffered any preexisting medical conditions.

There are currently 160 cases in a critical condition, and 290 cases receiving treatment. 15,661 are stable out of a total of 15,821 active cases.
