American Express Middle East has signed a new partnership with Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre in Sakhir, giving its Card Members presale tickets, fast-lane entry and a dedicated lounge area at selected live performances and concerts in Bahrain. The deal positions Amex as the venue’s Official Payment Partner and rolls out a package of on-site benefits aimed at the GCC’s growing live music audience.
For Bahrain residents who have spent the past few seasons navigating sold-out shows and long queues at the Sakhir venue, the practical upshot is straightforward: if you hold an eligible AMEX card, you can buy tickets before the general public and skip a few queues once you arrive.
The benefits package covers four main touchpoints across the event experience.
Presale ticket access is the most significant for anyone who has watched a major show sell out within hours. Card Members will be able to book seats before tickets open to the wider public, which matters when international headline acts come through Sakhir.
Fast-lane venue entry gives Card Members a separate queue at the gates on event days, a useful perk during the cooler concert months when arrivals tend to stack up close to showtime.
Fast-lane access at selected food and beverage outlets is built into the venue experience, cutting the time spent waiting for drinks or food during intermissions and pre-show windows.
A dedicated Card Member area within the amphitheatre will operate as a private space for Amex holders, separate from the general concourse.
Terms and conditions apply to all four benefits, and Amex has indicated these will be available at selected performances rather than every show on the calendar.
Sakhir has steadily moved up the list of regional concert destinations since the amphitheatre opened, drawing audiences from across the GCC for shows that previously would have required a flight to Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Riyadh. The venue, carved roughly 50 feet into the desert rock, has become one of Bahrain’s main draws for cross-border weekend trips.
For Card Members travelling in from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE or Qatar, presale access removes one of the bigger frustrations of regional ticket buying: securing seats before they disappear to fans closer to the box office. The fast-lane entry is also a meaningful addition for visitors arriving from causeway traffic or evening flights, where timing tends to be tight.

Sabine Khalil, Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Business at American Express Middle East, said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on live entertainment as a core lifestyle category for Card Members, to make performances “seamless” and “rewarding”.
Damian Bush, Chief Executive Officer of Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, said the deal allows the venue to extend its guest experience with added convenience and premium touchpoints from arrival onwards.
American Express has been operating in Bahrain since 1977 and set up American Express Middle East as a joint venture with Mawarid Investment Limited in 1992. The Manama-headquartered business now employs more than 600 staff across consumer cards, corporate payments and merchant services in the MENA region.
AMEX Card Members should watch for presale announcements ahead of upcoming Beyon Al Dana shows, which are typically released through AMEX’s regional channels and the amphitheatre’s own ticketing pages.
