Home to wildlife in Bahrain, the Al Areen Wildlife Park and Reserve was built to protect rare Arabian species including the Oryx, Adax and Reem Gazelle. The sanctuary has been around since 1976 and today homes hundreds of other plant and animal species.
The park has undergone multiple renovations over the decades, adding an aviary and an Arabian wild animal complex. A falcon stadium and petting zoo were opened in 2014. It has become one of Bahrain’s popular attractions where tourists can walk around with native birds roaming freely within the premises and go on tours to explore different wildlife animals.
