Active coronavirus cases in Bahrain reach 10,794

Out of 15,712 COVID-19 tests carried out on 2 May 2021, 1,300 new cases have been detected in Bahrain. Of these cases, 461 were expatriate workers, 801 were contacts of active cases, and 38 travel related.

Three deaths were recorded yesterday: two expats (woman, 81, and a man, 49) and one Bahraini (woman, 67). This took the death toll to 651. No information was provided if they suffered any preexisting medical conditions.

There were 1,001 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 167,852.

There are currently 98 cases in a critical condition, and 203 cases receiving treatment. 10696 are stable out of a total of 10794 active cases
