For the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain, VResto, which stands for “virtual restaurant” has officially launched in the heart of Adliya, Manama; the cloud kitchen aims to service the growing demand for quality food delivery in Bahrain with the convenience of ordering online; serving individuals as well as corporate clients through their catering services, offering various other services to support the start-up ecosystem in the Kingdom.
The brand new concept taking the local restaurant industry by storm is the brainchild of Falcon Hospitality Group, and will offer four different cuisines from around the world under a single roof; Asian fusion, Italian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and French pastries. VResto has recently launched its first two brands, bringing the taste of Italy to customers’ doorsteps with Joker Pizza, and serving up best of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines with Tarboush Xpress; with plans to launch another two brands, a fusion Asian as well as a French patisserie soon.
V Resto’s kitchen also boasts a dedicated space that serves as a culinary incubator, which supports budding entrepreneurs in the food industry by proving them with the tools, knowledge and strategic guidance enabling them to grow into a thriving business.
Mr. Yousif Abdulghani, Managing Director and Partner of Falcon Hospitality Group revealed, “We wanted to completely transform the traditional restaurant industry and take our customers on a gastronomic journey around the world, offering them a variety of choices of quality food prepared using only the fresh ingredients by our team of talented chefs.”
“Ultimately, I wanted to contribute my experience in the food industry, and support the Kingdom’s local talent by providing them with not only the equipment and space, but a support system of a skilled team of F&B professionals and chefs, working alongside starts ups to develop and implement strategic plans to grow their business,” Mr. Abdulghani added.
Mr. Yousif Abdulghani is a veteran of the F&B industry, staring out his career with McDonald’s in Bahrain in 1994 as a Managing Partner before moving to McDonald’s Corporation in late 2000. By January 2001, he took on the position of Deputy Managing Director in McDonald’s Egypt heading the restaurant operations and development. In 2004, he became Managing Director of McDonald’s Malaysia where he played an influential role in building the brand and achieving strong business results. In 2006, Yousif returned to the GCC as Managing Director for McDonald’s regional office in Dubai responsible for all McDonald’s operations in the Middle East and Africa. In 2013, he became the Vice President of McDonald’s Middle East and Africa.
He also earned his ranking as number 107 on the Arabian Business Power 500 List in 2013, having been in charge of overseeing all the 17 McDonald’s franchises in the Middle East, and 7 in Africa at the time.
