The Ultimate Neapolitan Experience

400 Gradi’s handcrafted Italian experience is now home to Bahrain.

An Italian inspired restaurant with an award-winning Australian chef makes itself home at the heart of Bahrain. 400 Gradi opens the first branch in the Middle East at The Avenues.

Chef Johnny Di Francesco, the first Australian ever trained in Naples to the Associazione Varace (AVPN) and president of AVPN Australia, opened 400 Gradi’s doors to his Naples inspired restaurant alongside the Italian Ambassador, Mr. Domenico Bellato; the president of Al Shaya’s Food Division Ian Toal; and vice president Nigel Doughty on 28th November, to his Middle Eastern guests.

Johnny Di Francesco’s 400 Gradi Naples inspired Italian restaurant was launched in 2008 to offer guests award-winning wood-fired Napoletana-style pizza and an array of handcrafted Italian dishes, including pastas, secondis, gelatos, and desserts with a Neapolitan twist. With locations in Australia and Middle East, 400 Gradi provides an authentic Italian dining experience.

400 Gradi - GRAND LAUNCH-4-2

The restaurant features a wide variety of deliciously handcrafted Italian cuisine, using the finest A-grade ingredients to give guests a complete Neapolitan experience outside of Naples. Being named the “world’s best pizza maker” in 2014 during the world championships Chef Di Francesco offers his Napolitano-style pizza, cooked for only 90 seconds at a temperature of 400 degrees which gives the restaurant its name. Along with that immaculate wood-fired pizza the restaurant also produces freshly cooked scrumptious traditional dishes such as Gnocchi, succulent lamb and pistachio cutlets, pasta Al-dente of various sorts, traditional artisan Italian Gelato and other delicious desserts.

“This is a groundbreaking milestone for the Gradi group. Expanding to the Middle East is an exciting step forward…We are delighted with this partnership and we look forward welcoming guests to enjoy the Ultimate Italian dining experience” says Chef Di Francesco.

The 400 Gradi authentic Italian experience first started out in Australia and then further expanded to four locations. The restaurant in Bahrain is just the first milestone for 400 Gradi in the Middle East, more expansion plans include Kuwait, Dubai and other strategic locations in the GCC.

So come join Chef Francesco in his Italian journey through the Middle East that will surely leave you wanting for more Amore.
