Turkish Bath Ceremony
The tradition of the Turkish bath (or hammam) started centuries ago during the Ottoman Empire and is an important part of the Turkish culture even today. This traditional process includes a soft steam and traditional Kassa glove scrub with black olive to remove the dead skin cells. The spa uses Charme D’orient products in this ritual.
After a short period of cleansing and relaxing in the steam bath, we lied down on a warm tiled slab. The temperature was not as abrasive as most traditional hammams, it was just enough to open the pores and sweat the impurities. What followed was a good hour of pampering – from being scrubbed with Kassa gloves to being massaged firmly from head to toe.
The treatment ultimately ended with a relaxing massage in a cloud of foam; this session felt like flying in the clouds and exceed our expectations about Turkish Baths. Overall, the Turkish Bath Ceremony experience was simply amazing and entirely unique. We were left glowing and rejuvenated – Rimal Spa is definitely one for the books!

Rimal Spa’s Signature Lava Shell massage is deeply comforting and relaxing, using naturally smooth polished shells of the South Pacific. The heat from the shells gently eases away the muscle tension, improving circulation and a sense of balance to the entire body and mind.
Lying on my back, anointed with fragrantly scented rose oil, I wasn’t sure what to expect. My therapist Jane, used both her hands and the shells to work through the muscles. The heat allows the therapist to perform a deeper massage and effectively penetrate layers of tension. After the massage, my skin felt soft and I had a warm glow for the rest of the evening. I left the spa refreshed and stress free – truly, Rimal Spa has the ultimate treatment for the mind, body and soul.
