Inside Sheikha Dana Al Khalifa’s The Overdressed Pavilion at Jewellery Arabia

You’ve heard of Vogue Arabia September It Girl, jewelry connoisseur extraordinaire Sheikha Dana Al Khalifa’s blog The Overdressed. It has once again come to life with the fourth edition of The Overdressed Pavilion at this year’s Jewellery Arabia in Bahrain, the most prestigious retail jewelry event of the Middle East.

With this event, Sheikha Al Khalifa has seamlessly curated a luxurious selection of regional and international jewelers to showcase their modern pieces that are glamorous yet affordable. Inspiration was drawn from the young working woman who may not want to dent her bank account but still desires fine, yet noticeable jewelry.

The sheikha notes that young women may be stuck between spending too much money and spending an adequate amount to buy jewelry that is too small to be seen. Therefore, the perfect in-between is encapsulated in the brands present, which boast accessibility and lavishness. The sheikha comments, “We want women to be able to wear the jewels which they work so hard to purchase. What is the point of storing jewels away for special occasions?”

The brands chosen include: Bhansali, A2Z Consulting, Carolina Bucci, Charmaleena, Istanboulli Gioielli, Nuun Jewels, Savolinna, and Suzanne Kalan, which all promise luxury, wearability, and affordability.

Complementing the brands, the setting of the Pavilion itself aims to stimulate the senses and create an atmosphere that breathes with its floral decor, emulating the energy of the modern woman. Additionally, by gathering the brands under one roof, young women have the ideal one-stop-shop available to them for the five days of the event. Jewellery Arabia, until November 24th, Manama
