karbabad beach

Head for the Bahrain Fort past the Bapco petrol station at Seef, and you will find this great public beach that’s often visited by locals and expats alike. It’s a great spot for an evening walk or a picnic or to shoot some pictures. Local customs apply so please don’t wear anything revealing or showing too much skin.

5. Jarada Beach

Where: Manama
Known for: golden sands and clear waters
Contact: +973 3964 3222

jarada island

This island appears in the ebb and disappears in the tide. You can reach Jarada by speed boat and if you don’t own one, there are regular trips from Coral Bay or you can arrange one through Jarada Tours. If you would like to have your piece of sandbar to yourself, this is a great place to do it. If you’re writing a novel about a shipwreck, this is also a great place to do it.
