A New Direction: An Interview with Ashraf Eid

The Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention & Spa welcomes Ashraf Eid as the new Director of Business Development & Strategy.

With over 30 years of experience in upscale hotel chains, Ashraf Eid brings to Bahrain excellent capabilities, profound marketing experience and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.

Ashraf has worked throughout the Middle East and GCC with placements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. He has proven niche for improvement and development with successful track records with international sales and hospitality. His extensive experience spans over the years of working with several international groups and prestige hotel chains like the Marriott and TIME Hotels Group.

During Ashraf’s previous role with the TIME group, he was entrusted to oversee 9 Hotels and Hotel Apartments. Prior to his tenure with TIME Hotels Group, his career in the Sales Department started in 1994 as Sales Manager for Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Jeddah, KSA. “Since then, I pursued my career in Sales & Marketing and developed my professional growth with Marriott until 2014, leaving my last position as Director of ales & Marketing for Salalah Marriott Resort”, says Ashraf.

With strong communication leadership skills, I will efficiently work in a team-work environment, managing the team to achieve and exceed the set targets with smart problem-solving skills and gain the deserved market position” Ashraf says.

Ashraf will be responsible for leading and developing The Gulf Hotel Bahrain’s sales and marketing with a strategy of strengthening the position of the hotel as the first choice for clients and stakeholders, both

on the local and international markets.

Even with the rise of competitors in the Kingdom, Ashraf Eid remains unfazed and optimistic, he relies on his instincts and skills to overcome and jump past any hurdle The Gulf Hotel will face in the future.
